Cybercrime Treaty Sent to Senate

Stage is Set for Ratification Battle

President George W. Bush submitted the Council of Europe's international treaty on cybercrime to the US Senate for ratification on Monday, November 17 ' a surprise move that came almost two years after the US signed the treaty.  The Senate will now debate the treaty, with approval of two-thirds of the Senate required for ratification.
